Entrevista en la playa de los componentes de la banda Dire Straits, incluye varias tomas practicando windsurf.
Peter Hart Tells the story behind the clip:
‘This is my favourite clip of the WINDSURF ITV series. One of the segments was ‘celebrities who windsurf’ and it was my job to source them. I’d heard Sting did it. So I rang him (rang Sting!) and was told he couldn’t do it but that I should talk to the Dire Straits boys. They’d all been recording in Monserrat and Sting had got them into it. Sure enough keyboard players Guy Fletcher and Alan Clark thought it was a brilliant idea. So not only did they drive all the way down to Hayling but they brought their kit and were dead keen to sail – AND it was windy. A two minute piece turned into 7 because they told some great stories and sailed really well. AND they let us use live footage of their most recent concert. What you mustn’t forget is that Dire Straits were HUGE in this era so this was quite a coup. The program went out on Saturday morning and got more viewers than Gary Lineker’s football program over on BBC. Guy Fletcher is still very much into sailing (the stringy T bag thing sadly) and lives by the seaside near Bognor.’
