John Skye y Finian Maynard dejan el equipo F2 y pasan a formar parte de RRD
Rrd is proud to announce another hot rider has decided to join the Rrd International Windsurfing Team: John Skye. Skyeboy is not just
a cool guy, he is a world class wave sailor, known for his radical moves, constantly achieving great results and masses of exposure in
the windsurfing media. Skyboy is definitely another hot RRD rider to watch for the future.
New RRD Team Rider John Skye:
“I have heard so many good things about RRD boards and when I tried their new
WaveTwin74, it blew me away how nice it was. That was pretty much what sealed the
deal for me. All the boards look really cool and RRD is really pushing forwards, so it’s great
to be part of the team.”.
Rrd Brand manager Roberto Ricci:
“I’m very happy to welcome Skyeboy aboard on Rrd Team. John rips, works hard and is
one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, with a huge amount of worldwide respect. Now
he is equipped with the best toys he can rip and enjoy his sailing yet further just like Alex
is doing by all accounts. The RRD Family keep growing and it’s a pleasure to manage a
such team of so cool and so high skilled guys!”
Rrd is proud to announce that the Rrd International Windsurfing Team keep growing with the signing of former World
Speed Record holder Finian Maynard. Finian is no doubt one of the fastest riders of the world and a slalom and speed
addicted. His season goals are to stay on the top of PWA Slalom Ranking and to score the new speed world record.
Definitely another hot RRD rider to watch right on this 2008 season!
New Rrd Team Rider Finian Maynard:
“I have know Roberto for many years. I was sponsored by
RRD in 1996 on my second full year on the PWA tour and
I had some very good results on his boards like my first
podium finish of 3rd in the World Cup of Paros, Greece. The
time seemed right to join the RRD team again as they were
looking for a top slalom rider.
The RRD boards fit my style. I have been rigourously testing
them in Gran Canaria in different wind strengths before I
made my decision to join and I am confident that they can
help me to my goals this year once I learn them a little more
and get comfortable. I also want to work closely again with
Roberto and his team as they are based in Tuscany and
I spend a lot of time these days in Europe so logistically it
made sense for testing and developing for the future.
Of course my season objective is to win.”
