For the upcoming year 2006 Drops confirms the lines currently under production particularly bearing more captivating and aggressive graphics. Firstly, the new version of the mythic freestyle STUBBY, certainly a reference freestyle board for the riders fond of this discipline. The three last year’s dimensions namely 100, 110 and 116 lt. are confirmed in 2006 too. Secondly, there are the multivalent FW freestyle wave boards, one of Drops range representing cross-over perfectly: they are gliding, fast, comfortable during use and manageable. They come in the following dimensions: 104 (248x61.8), 96 (247x59.5) and 87 (244x 57).

Concerning wave boards, the innovation is the newest line WITCH WAVE.

ARE YOU READY TO SURF WITH THE BAD WITCH?

Especially shaped for the most extreme windsurfing conditions on waves, namely side/ side off wind they are Vidar Jensen’s favourite ones and come in two dimensions: 70 lt. (243 x 52) and 80 lt. (294x 54.5). If you have a detailed look at them you will note lower and thinner edges with a very re-entering tuked to obtain the best grip during high speed bottom turns while the edge is sharp at 30 cm from the tail to rise the wind back more easily. The two boards have similar characteristics and are to be chosen according to the rider’s weight and his/her features. 243 is an ideal board for big waves and side/side off wind conditions for riders weighing less than 75 kilograms or for female riders, to be used with sails ranging from 5.3 to 3.8 or for wind (from 4.7 to 4.0) for riders weighing more than 75/80 kilograms.

249 can be used in the same wind and wave conditions by riders weighing more than 80 kilograms or as a lighter wind board (sail range 5.7/5.0) by not heavy surfers.

Bearing new “star like” graphics SO WAVE boards shaped by Sean Ordonez come in the dimensions 83 (249x56), 75 (246x 54.5) and 67 (243x 51.5) known by all world-wide riders for a long time. Also, CONCRETE WAVE 2006 boards are ultra compact wave specifically designed for European wind and wave conditions. Innovative, gliding and fast not to loose even a wave they come in 91 (232x60), 83 (232x58) and 76 (232x 56).

If you have a look at freeride line in addition to the classic XT line created to reach the purest fun with no big complications by medium ability windsurfers you will notice two important news: NAKED, coming in 144 (246x73), 128 (246x69.8) and 112 (246x66.8). A line of boards already presented last spring which is proving itself to be one of the best SUPER X boards on the market. Particularly, 112 reaches unlimited speeds with an exciting ease and manoeuvrability for such so wide boards. All our test centres were fascinated by the control and the ease to reach the maximum speed with these boards.

For those people who wish to make slalom contests with their friends or real races Drops comes back to speed slalom through two boards coming out soon characterized by the search for maximum speed with no compromise both in light or very light wind conditions and high wind conditions: USB SLALOM, coming in (approximate dimensions) 130 (240x76) and 108 (240x66). The appointment for those fond of FAST & FURIOUS is in December 2005.

The last thing worth to mention is the confirmation of the beginner line with CIRCLE boards: 100 (272x100x198 lt.) and 85 (262x86x168 lt.). They are used and appreciated by Drops schools worldwide. Last but not least MINICIRCLE boards
(212x81x106lt.) specifically designed for the young to have both an easy and funny first approach to windsurfing, to their practice and their first unforgettable glidings.

Los TABLEROS 2006 de las GOTAS para las gotas próximas del año 2006 confirman las líneas actualmente bajo producción que lleva particularmente más gráficos captivating y agresivos. Ok puede que si jaume de pipeline me consigue la del años pasado (2005) a buen precio la pille ya para mi hermano que no se quiere gastar mucha pasta.

Hace de manga 64 que está muy bien para los 110l, la JP hace 65 pero son solo 100l y tengo una 85 que se me solaparían un poco. Además en mallorca nunca sobran litros [aiba]
